LET IT BE KNOWN

The Stray Pursuit are the Swansea-based Alternative Rock band. Their eclectic individual music tastes make each song distinctively their own; with guitar-heavy riffs and powerful, catchy vocals.

The four-piece band consists of lead singer, Aaron Morgan; lead guitarist, Dylan Evans; bassist, Fred Wilkinson; and new drummer, Ben Lewis who joined the band after their founding drummer and very good friend, Nicky Bevan very sadly lost his life in December 2022.

The band had their first ever gig in November 2018 and went on to sell out the famous Swansea music venue Sin City in March 2019 with their debut single release show of “Out of This World”. Since then, they have released 3 more singles and have featured on This Feelings ‘Big in 2020’, playing gigs in venues such as The Dublin Castle, Camden.

The boys have been in the studio recording their first EP at Longwave Studios with Romesh Dodangoda in Cardiff. They plan to release their debut EP in late 2023. They are also in the process of booking a tour, so stay tuned for the coming months!

The band have said that their latest single is about someone struggling with insecurities and self-consciousness, and trying to overcome them. Hence the lyric “My fear, all over my skin” the song was written in the summer of 2021 on a 4 stringed acoustic guitar. – Says Dylan (Lead Guitarist).

The band say that the new single is a taster of the new direction their music is heading. Their next few singles fall into the Rock/Alt Rock category, rather than the previous Indie sound. They say this is why they choose to record the single with Romesh Dodangoda at Longwave Studio in Cardiff. The marriage of their new style of songs, and Romesh’s experience and award-winning producing/mixing and mastering skills, resulting in a very exciting new single release.

‘Let It Be Known’ is an absolute belter of a track with its high octane sound right from the get go of fuzzing guitars and pounding drums coupled with the raw, emotion filled rock-esq stadium worthy vocals. This is going to be one of the best bands to come out of wales right up there with the mighty Manics that’s for sure! This is a band to keep an eye and ear on for sure.
