The band are now back with their latest offering the tongue in cheek twist in the tale tune ‘SEX’.

SEX’ is a rock n roll anthem which while may seem a fun throw away quip, actually deals with a more serious subject matter. Perran recalls the tale of how the tune came to be in existence.

‘“Sex’ came about after Marc was telling me this unfortunate story about his friend, the next day I picked up the guitar as the story was still fresh in my mind. I had the melody first, so I kept singing the main hook. SEX SEX SEX over and over, then I remembered the details Marc had told me the previous night, so I started pencilling it in to fit the melody.

The gist of the story goes…
Boy meets girl …. the twosome were both heavily into each other, so a few dates later they are on a night out and it’s all going really well. Things are intensifying so when the end of the night comes, they go back to her house, there’s only one thing on the cards and after hours of lust building, she says to him let’s have (SEX SEX SEX) the inevitable happened… or shall I say didn’t happen, the pressure of it all , the pure intensity from this encounter, meant the poor lad…. you guessed it.. he couldn’t get it up, and it left the girl confused and upset, she couldn’t understand his situation at all and she broke things off soon after. Savage.

And the line “and I know no one talks about it, so I’m gonna sing about, yeah I’m gonna sing
about it” is about that no one ever talks about erectile dysfunction, so this song is for all the guys who find it all a bit too much sometimes, we stand with you… as we’ve all been there!”

So, while the subject matter of the track may have a more serious message, the actual tune itself is a pure rock n roll anthem filled with fuzzing guitars, distorted gravely vocals and massive chorus chanting hook lines.
