TO BE FREE’

Solo Singer/songwriter Gaz Price has recently expanded into a full rock band line up to be known as ‘Northern Hospitality’. Joined by David Wilcox on drums, Nico Mouissie on bass and Sean Mccloskey on lead guitar, this band show all the signs of taking the nation by storm.

Gaz states that Northern Hospitality are a “chaotic creation of punk influenced themes infused with catchy melodies and heavy guitars riffs.”

The band have already quickly become one of the regions heavy hitters, blitzing through a run of sold out shows at the start of 2023.

Having previously played together in other forms, mainly giving body to Gaz’s solo career songs, the band decided a change of name and a united front was the way to move forward and onto greater things and so Northern Hospitality was born.

A new sound was emerging and the songs began to form quickly. The band have said that they felt “it was always destined to head this way, the songs and the feeling they evoked were so colossal, it demanded we became something new.”

Fresh from supporting Peter Doherty at a sold out KU bar in Stockton as part of his ‘Battered Songbook Tour’ the band say that they are now more than ready to bring their music into the world with their debut single “To Be Free”.

“To Be Free” is a protest song, a reflection of people opening their eyes to societies problems and hoping for a brighter future.

Musically ‘To Be Free’ is a straight off the bat high octane banger filled with heavy guitar riffs and frenzied drums beats. Vocally it’s got a definite nod to the greats of the britpop era. It’s a track that’s absolutely jam packed from start to finish with a pack a punch delivery and oh those guitar solos … EPIC!!
