FEED THE EGO – EP RELEASE SHOW – MOTH CLUB LONDON
September 1st, Hackney… a night to remember when San Quentin launched their new EP ‘Feed The Ego’ by playing it in full along with other hit singles.
The Southend legends, San Quentin released their debut EP ‘Feed The Ego’ 6 days prior, with songs we haven’t heard before yet everyone in that packed and sweaty room knew every word and were singing along and cheering for the band!

The show started with a backing track, welcoming the band onstage one by one, everyone was screaming and cheering as they graced the stage with pure rock energy. The setlist was 11 songs long, starting with ‘Serotonin’…wow, talk about start as you mean to go on! The night was full of sweaty mosh pits, beers flying and plenty of head banging.
Within the set were 2 very unexpected covers, Come Together by The Beatles and Bad Guy by Billie Eilish. They gave both tracks a proper British, guitar heavy, punk sound to them and I’ve got to say, they absolutely nailed it. A proper recognisable San Quentin feel to them.

Despite the train strikes going on all weekend, they worked around them and gave the people what they came for. Bringing the entire show forward to allow the fans to get home safely, they really are a band for the people! The crowd was electric and the room was full of nothing but good vibes.
They closed the night with a classic, ‘Step Off’. It ended the night on a rememberable note. Everyone singing back at them with an enormous cheer and round of applause. This Southend quintet are really ones to follow and back. The new generation of guitar music and indie-rock. Backing tracks, guitar solos, deep bass lines, insane drum fills and incredible lyrics with matching vocals aswell as being absolute gentleman off the stage with the fans…they have it all!
