THE ANGEL
The Yorkshire lads have delivered an absolute belter as they released their 2nd single The Angel’ . After a great response from their debut single ‘Slow Down’, the growing fan base demanded more so that’s exactly what the band have gone and done!

‘The Angel’ starts off with a vintage, distorted riff which plays throughout the intro, chorus and outro. They switch it up within the track with a solid, sharp electric solo which ends the song perfectly. It’s an extremely catchy and definitely memorable track that will have you hitting the replay button over and over again.
The lyrics to the track are based around addiction and cheating. The Angel title is almost seen as sarcasm towards the protagonist of the song. Being an Angel isn’t a bad thing where as addictions and cheating are quite the opposite and seen as the devils work and behaviour.
If you’re into early indie-rock, the pinnacle of British indie music then this is the band for you. They deliver a mix of inspirations such as Bloc Party, The Libertines, Arctic Monkeys and many others.

Northern System – FROM ANOTHER PERSPECTIVE
As an added little bonus, Northern System have also today (13 October) released their 3rd single; ‘From Another Perspective’
The second offering of the day from the Yorkshire Quintet brings a slightly different energy to the first 2 singles. This particular track is an acoustic song with a touch of piano and strings to almost give it a Ballard type vibe.
I can already see the gig now, they’ll play this with the crowds waving their phone torches in the air, taking in pure love and gratitude towards the band. This song is a powerful one.
The lyrics and meaning behind the song match the title. This one is based on a females
perspective of an individuals mental health. It highlights the different side to how others view mental illness. The very clever and intriguing approach the band have taken on is making this a two-parter song. The perspective from a male will be a separate song…very exciting things to come!
Powerful lyrics that are extremely well written really makes this a hit with the great music that’s played along with it. The best way to describe it is of you was to mix Arctic Monkeys ‘Riot Van’ with The Libertines ‘You’re My Waterloo’, beautiful stuff indeed!
The band have shown true courage and proper musicianship with the range of music they can write and produce. From heavy, moshing guitar music to soft, meaningful ballads…there’s no stopping these lads. They’ve won the hearts and love from many but they’ve just stepped up their game and ready to take on more, and I for one, am totally here for it!
