PIRANHA

Smokin Eskimo are a 3 piece originals bands from Bilston, West Midlands.

Combining a blend of blues & rock styles, they effortlessly span the genre divide making them appealing to a wide spectrum of fans.

The band say that their lyric inspiration comes from every day aspects of modern life; from deep thoughts of the universe to taking a drive through the Countryside and everything in between!

The accomplished songwriting is complimented by a solid backline and mesmerising riffs intended to get even the most die hard “I don’t dance” folk booping along to the beat.

SMOKIN ESKIMO cite that they are heavily influenced by the 60s psychedelic rock and blues movement mixed with 90s britpop and a smattering of jazz funk. Such a wide range of influences means that SMOKIN ESKIMO are a multi-genre band that simply refuse to be the pigeonholed!

The West-Midlands trio recently released their latest single ‘Piranha’ .

‘Piranha’ is a lazy, hazy funk fest, with elongated organ notes and tribal drums beats throughout set off by electrifying guitar riffs cutting through the haze so crystal clear and precise. Listening to this track puts me in mind of lounging in a smoky club chilling out and just 100% immersing myself and enjoying the ambience of the sounds filling the room.
