TAXI FARE and B-Side MADMAN

Mimosa are a band willing to push the boundaries of the norm and what might be expected of them by offering something which is fresh and energized and with live performance that will leave you without reservation. With influences from the likes of Led Zepplin, Arctic Monkeys, Oasis and Red Hot Chili Peppers, they offer a collective of sounds brought about by their individual preferences .

Formed during the global pandemic, live performances have already seen Mimosa fill tents at major UK festivals, such as YNOT as well as headline shows all across the country. They have also headlined in Nottingham for BBC Introducing. Another sold out show which saw the performance recorded for broadcast.

The latest relaxer from the band, Taxi Fare is in fact; one of Mimosa’s earlier written tunes fork around 2020. It pays homage to what a standard night out is like locally in their own rural home town. The dirty guitar tones and high energy is a reflection of how messy things can get in a ‘everyone knows everyone’ kinda town.

Taxi Fare’ is a straight off the bat high octane banger of epic promotions. With electrifying guitar riffs, mesmerising solos and pounding, thrashing drums, it’ll have you bouncing around the room in joyous wild abandonment from the opening bars.

Taxi Fare’ is accompanied on this release by the b-side of ‘Madman

In direct contrast ‘Madmen’ is a stripped back, melodic and harmonious acoustic offering really showing the diversity and talent on display from this incredible band

Madman’ was written in the midst of lockdown when strange rules were applied to the public but didn’t seem they mattered to the people in charge, the whole thing feeling as if we the public, were being controlled by a “ Madman”; one leader ruling the world and creating all these horrific events to enable him to stick to his plan all while proclaiming innocence for his actions and thus avoiding any accountability.
