GIRLS TALK

CHROMA is ready for 2024 with this banger of a song. Their new single ‘Girls Talk’ is the perfect
mixture of a catchy melody, confronting and clever lyrics and their (notoriously) driven guitars.

This single is a new feminist anthem without being it ‘too on the nose’ about feminism.
Featuring this theme among other topics like, the current political climate, misogyny and mental
health makes this song relatable and reflective at the same time. Lyrics like ‘Cos half my
generation seem to live to appease, the other half that seem to hate the refugees. As for me –
They call my mental health a fairy story.’, show that this Welsh band is able to write from their own perspective while being aware of what’s happening in the rest of the country and world.

‘Girls Talk’ was the first song they’ve written together and inspired the style of their debut album ‘Ask for Angela’, which was released in 2023.

Katie Hall (vocalist) says about this: “Girls Talk is one of the first songs that we wrote together that
has actually stuck throughout the years. When I wrote the song I was experiencing a lot of
misogyny, and I always found myself in the same situation saying the same thing, which was
‘don’t talk over me, and don’t tell the boys you’re going to f*ck me after the show.’ Girls Talk looks
at the power we have when we talk to each other and stand up against misogyny together. It
changed the way I wrote songs and inspired our album, Ask For Angela.”

This album had some very promising reviews, Under the Radar Magazine called CHROMA “Ones
to watch.” and Noizze is convinced that with a debut like this they’ll be selling out stadiums soon.

This year they’ll be on tour with this record and supporting artists like Foo Fighters, Loose
Articles, Bob Vylan and Goldie Lookin Chain.
2024 is gonna be their year and nobody’s gonna stop them!
