“A marriage of two of the most celebrated members of Manchester’s music scene.” – The Guardian

“It’s glorious, gargantuan, and so confident it borders on ridiculous. There is also nothing else like it in music right now. The sound of the early 1990s with a contemporary twist.” –Clash

“This has stirred my little shoegazing soul.”Evening Standard

Friday saw Manchester rock ‘n’ roll icons Liam Gallagher and John Squire sell-out their entire debut headline tour in seconds – that phenomenal public demand underlining fan anticipation that saw their first single ‘Just Another Rainbow’ race to #16 on the UK’s Official Singles Chart. Now the duo share the official video for its follow-up, ‘Mars To Liverpool’, as the March 1st release of their self-titled debut album approaches.

The video sees the past and the present collide, instantly provoking nostalgia while highlighting the power of their new music. A characteristically dynamic performance from the pair is cut with classic archive footage – huge Oasis shows, Stone Roses on Top of the Pops – along with snippets of  the Warhol-esque artwork that John has designed for the album campaign.

The two singles affirm that the upcoming album is going to be exactly what fans are hoping for: towering anthemic hooks and bristling rock ‘n’ roll attitude from Liam with riffs, psychedelia and grooves galore from John. Whipping the best elements ofOasis and Stone Roses into one irresistible package, the duo were joined in the studio by producer, bassist and regularLiam collaborator Greg Kurstin, and drummer Joey Waronker (BeckR.E.M., Atoms For Peace).

The album is available to order HERE. Their official store offers a selection of official bundles which package CD or vinyl formats with various new merch designs and an art card signed by John.

Liam Gallagher and John Squire’s upcoming shows are listed below. Joey Waronker also features in their live band, which is completed by Barrie Cadogan (Little BarriePaul Weller) on bass. Jake Bugg is special guest at all shows except for Brooklyn.
