Narwhals are the alt-indie Manchester based band made up of Jacob Patrick on guitar and vocals), Harry Moore on guitar, Christian Sinclair on bass and Liam Middleton on drums.

Following the fall out of co-dependence and the emotional over-reliance on a partner during a relationship, “Unstitched” details the untethering and fraying of romance after suddenly finding yourself separated from them.

The new single is a poetic grunge ballad that makes you feel lost and saved all at the same time. The dreamy vocals (specially in the chorus) make you feel like your being hugged by melancholy while the distorted guitars are humming in the background.

The sound of this single is inspired by a blend of genres and artists like Joy Division, Mogwai and Phoebe Bridgers. For the making of this track, Jacob Patrick was joined in the studio by Michael Ward (guitar, bass, vocals, programming and mixing) and Phil Ward (vocals, production). This collaboration is hopefully not a one time thing and we will see/hear more of this trio in the future.

Alt-indie band Narwhals have been making waves with their own brand of darkly tinged post-punk since the release of their debut album “Two Darks Windows” in 2018. Synonymous with grunge-infused baritone vocalisations and lyrical storytelling, the quartet have been a mainstay of the
Manchester music scene for over a decade. Their album ‘New Years Drunk In A Cocktail Bar’ which will be released later this year.

Speaking on his musical endeavours, frontman Jacob Patrick notes: “Ever since I was five years old I’ve expressed myself by making up songs. Narwhals is a deeply personal journey, a diary of my adulthood, my way of making life make sense”.
