“a bold statement track succinctly pairing the band’s northern swagger to maximum effect with huge guitar riffs, pounding, thrashing drums and reverberating, punchy vocals: its a perfect storm of indie rock n roll”

Stoke-on-Trent based indie rockers Shader have made a magnificent return to the scene following their recent hiatus in which they took some time out in order to hone and perfect their sound, and they now triumphantly return with their latest single ‘Satellite’.

Following the success of their debut album, ‘Everything is Connected‘, in 2022 which entered into the UK top 40 Album Charts, the band are back with their latest release ‘Satellite’ which is a bold statement track succinctly pairing the band’s northern swagger to maximum effect with huge guitar riffs, pounding, thrashing drums and reverberating, punchy vocals: its a perfect storm of indie rock n roll.

‘Satellite’ is an addictive track instantly unveiling feelings of euphoria with its high octane, passionate delivery and it will without doubt become an anthemic hit for the band when performed live and the crowds are chanting the chorus back up at the stage.

Frontman Stu Whistons songwriting skills really are allowed to take centre stage with this track. There’s a definite, felt precision to the timing and delivery of the vocals and together with those infectious chorus hooks coupled with that northern grit, it really does encapsulate everything that Shader are about as band, setting their future intentions clear as to which direction they are headed.

Speaking on the new single front man and songwriter Stu Whiston has said:

“Satellite is a song about finding that feeling of satisfaction and comfort that navigates a person forward in life, whilst at the same time being emotionally aware to question the trick of these feelings and their validity.

Today, Tuesday 5th March, sees the release of the official music video for ‘Satellite’ which we here at The Songbird are delighted to be able to exclusively premiere.

The Video produced by Magnolia Lux is nothing short of a masterpiece expertly mixing together animated, negative black and white images of the band performing with a striking, intermittent red overlay featuring throughout of vibrant red lips and moving images making the whole thing really pop and stand out. The video is timed to perfection with the song, swirling around in a sonic soundscape taking you on a visual as well as audio journey. With the chorus hooks also being featured and spelt out during the course of the video, I defy any of you not to be singing along!
