‘Yoko’ is a triumphant single and a solid start to what is sure to be another meteoric year for
KLEIO.

Exploding into 2024 are KLEIO, a four-piece indie rock band hailing from the south east of Ireland with their brand new single ‘Yoko’.

Following an exciting 2023 in which the band embarked on a daring all-Ireland tour spanning ten venues in ten consecutive nights, and released the positively reviewed indie-anthem callback ‘Lowlights & Batteries’, KLEIO are solidifying themselves as rising stars as they look poised to capitalise on their success from 2023 and maintain their steady growth in fans, followers and listeners across the British Isles.

With two sold-out shows in Waterford and Dublin under their belt in the month of January alone, 2024 started off with a bang. In between a busy run of domestic shows, the band played their first show across the Irish Sea in Manchester in March, and will return to play what is projected to be their third sold-out show in Belfast.

A nostalgia tinged single for indie music gone by, ‘Yoko’ forges its own path. Through this track, the band create an enveloping atmosphere and a sense of unity as if the listening is shared amongst many. With a beautiful blend of lush guitars, foot stamping drums and silky smooth vocals, ‘Yoko’ is a great single, one you would not feel out of place listening to on a hazy summer afternoon, pint in hand at a festival. KLEIO have a real talent for creating anthemic hooks which you will be singing for hours afterwards.

The instrumentation is remnant of artists such as The Killers, The Kooks and Catfish and the Bottlemen – their inspiration clear to see. However, this does not stop KLEIO from carving out their own sound within that world, one which I’m sure would have any live audience on side within the first few bars.

‘Yoko’ is a triumphant single and a solid start to what is sure to be another meteoric year for
KLEIO.
