Experimental psyche-rock outfit PERCHARD’S WALL state their shows are not only an explosive live performance, but also an experience of musical persuasion that leaves both the die hard fan and casual listener captivated and inspired.

For fans of the spiritual energy of King Gizzard and The Lizzard Wizzard, the mystique of Britpop giants Kula Shaker and the blues tainted power of any Jack White project, Perchard’s Wall ride on the multi-coloured kaleidoscopic sound of human emotion with blistering rhythms that  rise and fall like the desert heat.  Let them fill your mind with jangling catacombs of explosive guitars steeped in hard rock, funk and garage influences.

On the cusp of releasing their debut EP and having recently signed to Bubblebrain Records these proud islanders hail from the up and coming musical microcosm of Jersey.  Join them on their maiden voyage to the outside world on a mystical journey into the unknown.

Formed in 2020 Perchard’s Wall have created themselves a unique sound and a strong following across the Channel Islands. The band’s success can be demonstrated by a string of headline shows and in establishing themselves as a household name as one of Jersey’s most exciting and favourite live acts.

The band is made up of long time musical friendships and with each live show they build an ever increasing following embracing the duality of their craft. Both Greg Alliban and Joe Huchtinson lead the duties of guitar filled cataclysm, following quickly in suit is the chooglin’ thunder of Aaron Bouchard on the drums. This is ‘The Wall’ that supports the mysterious ramblings of both James Perchard’s base playing and vocal prowess.

The Debut EP release from Perchard’s Wall, “The Tea Pea” – EP consists of 4 tracks.

1) Hands

2) Esperanza

3) Somebody’s Got To Dream

4) Munchausen.

The band have said of the ‘Tea Pea’ EP:

“The Tea Pea EP was recorded in 2023, after a good solid run at playing all the local bars and festivals to find our feet, we found ourselves hopping in our cars and rolling down to Orbital Studios , greeted by a dear friend and musical collaborator, Lucas Saunter. The studio, set in the beautiful surroundings of Rozel, with a backdrop of rolling meadows and a fresh sea breeze, we set out to capture the live raw sound that the cosmonauts who have attended our gigs over the years have come to know and love and with the hope that we pick up a few more friends and fans following the release.

With tripped out jams that fit any 60s freak out records, vibrant passages of soul filled vocal melodies with a slight sprinkle of the band’s love for grunge and Brit pop, this EP is sure to leave you wanting more. Inspired by friendship and created for our fans, the only real meaning behind this EP is to get people dancing at our live shows.”

The Tea Pea EP opening track ofHands’ is filled with reverb filled fuzzing guitars, and a heavy bass line. Its a track that is filled with a certain hazy nostalgia whilst still managing to maintain a sound that is fresh and modern. ‘Esperanza’ is a much more mellow, laid back affair, however it still manages to contain a certain confidence and level of swagger and aplomb to it.Somebody’s Got To Dream is a swirling 60’s psychedelic soundscape, a positively layered tapestry of sound with banging beats and sonic riffs that carry you along and seamlessly intertwine into Munchausen’ which effortlessly adds yet another dimension to the whole EP with its decidedly more low down and dirty rock n roll vibes.

All tracks on the ‘Tea Pea’ EP were composed by Perchard’s Wall with all the lyrics being written by James Perchard. The EP was recorded and mixed at Orbital Studios in Jersey, was engineered by Lucas Saunter and produced by Perchard’s Wall
