With a certain sense of rebellion and a youth filled passion for change, The Rolling People skillfully and perfectly deliver a voice for the disillusioned masses with latest single

Hailing from Stockport, The Rolling People are a dynamic quartet fronted by the sonic prodigy that is 18 year old Charlie McNichol, the band is on a journey to see the revival of rock. The Rolling People (TRP) sold out their debut headline UK tour in 2023 and quickly gained a reputation for ‘energised’ performances, and feral crowds to match’. With numerous appearances across the country TRP have gained significant traction to deserve the title of the indie scenes next must see act.

The Rolling People began to shudder into life as a band when each member was just 15-years of age, filling a post-pandemic vacuum together with new music catalysed by their shared love of classic rock, indie and 90s alternative music. A SOLD-OUT debut headline UK Tour came just two years later as their meld of upfront influences from The Verve to Fontaines DC and Foo Fighters found listeners seeking an honest, relatable connection to music that moves them.

Their 2023 self-release of fan-favourite single, Better Man, hit No.1 on the iTunes Rock Chart and No.14 on the iTunes Official Chart, launching them instantly to a wider audience. Catching the attention of LAB Records, launchpad for the mainstream careers of artists including The KsNell Mescal, Antony Szmierek and many more.

On-point musicianship, a sense of unrestrained possibility and the intoxication of young anger sways, reels and rolls through The Thief, the latest, surging single from Stockport four-piece, The Rolling People. Blending raw talent and relentless rehearsal, the band’s latest step towards the release of their debut LAB Records EP, Before It’s Gone, and the landmark of their year-ending show at Manchester’s O2 Ritz, kicks up clouds of black dust with studio dials glowing at maximum volume in a display of life-affirming, off-leash power.

McNichol says of the track: “’The Thief’ is a song that we’ve had for a long time in our live set but we haven’t got around to recording it until recently. It focuses on the power struggle that the common man has with those in charge and is a sort of spit at the people who are pulling the strings from above. It’s our most rocking tune yet and we can’t wait to get it going at the live shows.”

The Rolling People live dates are as follows:
