Megan Wyn is the Welsh native young singer/songwriter and musician with an array of hit singles already under belt. Her lyrics and her vocals especially showcase a talent of one way beyond her actual own tender years. Megan possesses a voice and a natural ability to produce music that is both entirely current and feeling like you’ve known a track for years as an old favourite, all at the same time.

Megan’s earlier releases of, ‘You Don’t Get It’, ‘Familiar Faces’ and ‘Are You Bored Yet?’, made a long-lasting impression on the music scene and with her self-deprecating lyricism, Megan has developed a sound that can easily be compared to her Welsh elders and the likes of Manic Street Preachers and Catfish and The Bottlemen

Already in the last year the young star has packed out rooms on the metropolitan festival circuit at places such as Twisterella, Beyond the Music, Stockton Calling, Liverpool Sound City and Focus Wales. She has also sold out shows in her new home of Manchester, as well as Liverpool and London.

Elsewhere, Megan has supported indie heroes past and present such as Swim Deep, Little Comets, Sundara Karma, Andrew Cushin, The K’s and others at sold out shows across the UK

Further, Megan has enjoyed playlist support from Radio X alongside a live session with John Kennedy and Amazing Radio  A-List. Megan also did a live session with BBC introducing Manchester, whilst gaining repeat support at BBC Radio London and BBC Radio Merseyside including a live session for the latter. She was also Huw Stephens‘ Artist of The Week on BBC Radio Wales and added to the station’s playlist as well as support at Spotify UK with placement on tastemaker playlists such as Proper Belters & Fresh Finds UK & IE.

On the brand new single, ‘Waiting For A Reason’ the Welsh artist shows that age really is just a number and that talent is something that is unimpeded.

With this track, Megan’s extraordinary and powerful vocal range is allowed to shine. The track is packed with emotion and an undeniable sense of desire throughout. The track moves along at pace with rhythmic, thunderous drum beats and electric guitar riffs coupled with Megan’s 100 miles an hour deliverance of her incredible vocals that break down in the chorus hooks for some rousing chanting lyricism. With ‘Waiting For A Reason’ Megan demonstrates an effortless talent and an unquestionable cool reminiscent to us of some other great females such as Stevie Nicks and Debbie Harry.

Speaking about the song, Megan said:

This song focuses on looking at my own flaws in navigating a relationship and the feelings of naivety, guilt, and loneliness that come with it. It focuses on the polarities of behaviour that we encounter when coping with suffering, and that we always want what is bad for us.”

This summer is set to be Megan’s busiest yet with slots at key festivals such as Kendal Calling, Y Not Festival and Liverpool Sound City in the calendar already. She will also be setting off to Sweden to play her first international show.

‘Waiting For A Reason’, was written with and produced by Alex Quinn (The Royston Club, Lottery Winners, Overpass) over the course of an extensive period of writing in Summer 2022.
