Sweet Unrest’s new single ‘Waste My Time’, serves up a dynamic blend of groovy surfing instrumentals paired with gritty, spoken-word vocals. Lead singer Jack seems to blurt out the repeating chorus within a clear contradiction that can be heard through the collaboration of wah guitars and heavy experimental riffs. Think indie banger being blasted through the aux at 100, with the drums clambering in to meet the tempo and lyrical desperation with the whole song varying in mood.
Although Sweet Unrest is relatively new to the music scene, having just entered their second year of releasing music, they have quickly established themselves with a series of high-calibre gigs. Regular performances at the Amersham Arms in London are proof of their growing presence and popularity.

Releasing under their new LA based label Lemon Sun with Kycker and FUGA distribution, it is the follow-up to their slower single, ‘Falling for you’. This single rounds off a trilogy of emotionally charged releases from the band this year, each track laying bare lyrical vulnerabilities, with the instrumentation—drums and guitars—rising to match the heartfelt intensity.
‘Waste My Time’, cements their reputation as a force to be reckoned with in the indie music scene.
