Recorded over a brisk two-week period and already making waves by landing at No.17 on the charts, Essex’s own PET NEEDS have released their latest visual treat, the music video for ‘The Age That You Were.’ This track is a standout from their UK Top 20 album, ‘Intermittent Fast Living’, which dropped earlier this year.

The latest music video offers an intimate glimpse into the band’s life in the studio during the creation of ‘Intermittent Fast Living’. This raw and candid footage serves a dual purpose, forming the backbone of the upcoming documentary Fractured Party People, set to premiere on August 10th at the Colchester Arts Centre.

Whilst they continue to be unapologetically grunge, this new introspection adds a gentler, nostalgic element to their typically punk-fueled lyrics, resulting in a profoundly honest experience that keeps listeners coming back for more. Behind the fierce instruments, stand normal people with lyrics on DIY Dad’s and puppy Days reaffirming this, it is refreshing to see curiosity for life through heavier rhythms.

Johnny Marriott captures this sentiment perfectly, saying:  “I am now the age I remember my dad being when he knocked through a stud wall and fitted sliding doors in my childhood home. I can’t even hang a picture frame. Still. Although I did change my car brake lights the other day!”

Their third studio effort takes the listener on a journey of life lessons over 11 tracks. They are not ones to shy away from media attention, which comes from critical acclaim from the likes of Steve Lamacq, Kerrang and BBC introducing and I believe this will gain them the same kind of interest.
