Sweet Unrest have captured the attention of Grammy-winning mastering engineer Kevin Tuffy, who was so taken with their new single “Rob Me Blind” that he personally offered to master it.

Known for their genre-bending approach, Sweet Unrest continues to be adventurous with their sound in this track, nodding to Hawaiian musicality while avoiding indie rock clichés. Written in just 15 minutes, “Rob Me Blind” feels brilliantly timeless, with its angelic oohs and ukulele melodies whisking you away to an island paradise, only for it to all unravel into a distorted dystopia.

Sweet Unrest, describes their sound as “Gritpop,” which is redefining the London music scene with their unique brand of aggressive apathy. The band has recently signed with A-Level Management and Lemon Sun Records. Their name, inspired by Keats’ Bright Star, hints at their love for poetry and their fascination with the tension between pleasure and pain.

To Sweet Unrest, music is an extension of poetry, used to cast irony on phrases and situations, often with a tongue-in-cheek approach to sensitive topics. “Rob Me Blind” is a quintessential example of their craft, blending lyrical depth with a sound that’s both spine-tingling and unsettling.

For fans of Babyshambles, The Jam, and Blur, Sweet Unrest offers a fresh yet familiar vibe, proving that they are the ones to watch as they continue to carve out their niche in the UK music scene.
