Sheffield Indie singer-songwriter, Sam Scherdel, finishes a hugely successful 2024 with his new single,  “Bitter End”, ahead of the release of his highly anticipated debut EP 

Meet Me On The Moon”, due in February 2025 through Blaggers Records

The new single showcases Scherdel’s evolving musical palette, adding another dimension to his already impressive songwriting.

Bitter End” is a cinematic, desert rock-inspired stomper, a thrilling departure that blends alternative rock energy with a distinctive, evocative sound. The song features clever lyrics, dueling harmonies, and cinematic strings, offering an expansive listening experience. 

The track draws on Scherdel’s growing influences, with nods to the songwriting craftsmanship of Lennon/McCartney and the atmospheric grandeur of The Last Shadow Puppets.

Produced by Federico Telesca and recorded in Sheffield, the song’s impact is already being felt online, as teasers shared on Scherdel’s social media platforms have sparked considerable excitement among fans. With “Bitter End,” Sam Scherdel proves once again that he is an artist to watch, as he continues to push the boundaries of his craft ahead of his highly anticipated debut EP release.

Since launching in March 2022 he proceeded to release singles which caused a stir within the industry. 

2024 has seen two headline show sell outs, Major festival appearances, including Glastonbury and Tramlines, and support slots with Reverend and The Makers, Ocean Colour Scene, Two Door Cinema Club & Embrace. 

This year has seen his rise since signing to Blaggers Records 2024 (The Skinner BrothersJW Paris), Sam continues at rapid pace amassing 175000 streams. Incredible support from Radio X, BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio and many more.
