Also performing on the same night was RETROPXSSY who has been making a name for herself with live sets across the country and the world. She tells stories through music, theatre, hip hop, dance, punk, sweat, eye contact. Songs about power, songs about desolation, songs about tits, she explores womanhood in the middle of the mosh. Growing up in the South West, retro cites seeing The Prodigy at Glastonbury aged 12 as igniting her need to perform. Today, this burns brighter than ever. ‘retro reclaims the pit like a post-feminist fireball’. (Brian O’Neill – Dimple Discs) Her genre defying sets invite total immersion. Hip hop blends with punk, jazz, dance, electronica. Music blends with theatre. She is always looking to experiment and play.
