Generation are the Liverpool based rockers James and Dean Sanchez Carne who are defining a new wave of how modern rock should look and sound. Over recent years they have built a solid reputation for blending a raw, unbridled youthful energy with a fearless, unapologetic approach to both their music and live performances. Overall they don’t take themselves too seriously, they enjoy what they do and it can be both seen and heard in their music.

Having firmly established themselves in both their native Liverpool and on the London new music scene as one of the most exiting acts around right now, they show no signs of slowing down anytime soon with their 44k followers across social media platforms, their large Spotify streaming numbers in excess of 300k and endorsements with the likes of Marshall.

Previously the band have also enjoyed high profile support slots with the likes of IDLES and SOFTPLAY, have sold out their own headline gig at London’s Camden Assembly, as well as smashing festival appearances at Sound City, The Isle of Wight and Tramlines festivals solidifying and cementing them as a must- see live act.

AND …..Generation continue to prove the notion that they deserve to be on the biggest stages into 2025 and beyond with their latest single, ‘Medicine’.

‘Medicine’ features driving guitars and haunting vocals that cut straight to the heart of alcohol’s double-edged allure. Gritty and realistic, with an edge that refuses to let up,  the single captures the euphoria and chaos of divine debauchery paired with the stark and very real aftermath that lingers long after the party’s over.

There’s a real pop rock feeling to this track, taking the listener on a journey of high jinx and crashing lows all set to a melodic, alt rock backdrop of thrashing drums, tight guitar riffs and harmonious backing vocals giving rise and centre stage to the lead vocals and cries of “and its a cold night in the city of sin, you can call yourself a winner, but you’ll never win and its a long, long way back home from here, so Mr Bar Man get me a beer.” with the last word being deliciously growled into the microphone giving major chills. “I haven’t took my medicine, and thank God I’m alive. I haven’t took my medicine and I don’t know if I’m gonna survive.” The tracks ebbs and flows along taking in feelings of euphoria and deep regret to maximum effect. The stop start of the melody and the change up in the vocals really help to cement the emotions being portrayed.

Its a naughty little stomper of a track that is sure to go down an absolute storm when performed live and we for one can’t wait for the stage dive and crowd surfing that this song lends itself to so perfectly!

James has said of the new track:-

“Medicine isn’t just another pop song – it’s an unfiltered glimpse into the highs and lows of dependency. Both visceral and addictive, it’s a track that demands to be felt as much as heard.”

Generation enter 2025 with a string of new singles in their musical locker and they are ready and raring to go for their headline tour this April taking in Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester and London.

Generation have a number of gigs on the horizon, go along, you won’t be disappointed, the worst thing that will happen is that your ears will still be ringing in the morning!” – GigSlutz
