To say its been a pleasure watching these lads go from strength to strength over recent years is an understatement. From the early days of working with them on their then record label to then being honoured with running several PR campaigns for them, partying with them in small, initmate gigs to now seeing them selling out tour after tour, witnessing numerous main stage festival performances, and obtaining a No.3 Official Charts album; well its been nothing short of incredible.

And the band show no signs of slowing down anytime soon as they gear up for the release of their second album, ‘Pretty On The Internet.’ The album is produced by Grammy Award winner Jim Lowe (Stereophonics, The Dandy Warhols) and mixed by Pete Hutchings (Royal Blood, Foals, Nothing But Thieves) and features the brand new single release, ‘Breakdown In My Bedroom.’

‘Breakdown In My Bedroom’ explores the notion of being locked inside ones own mind, trapped within your own thoughts as anxiety takes hold, swaying between the need to escape and the want to try and keep calm and carry on so to speak. Its a very introspective track laying forth the idea that it often feels easier to lock yourself away in your bedroom rather than having to deal with matters head on and face the world.

The track is filled with The K’s signature expressive and poignant, yet vulnerable lyricism, wrapped up in an energetic rhythm of powerful guitar riffs and a driving drum force, propelling the track along.

With this track The K’s have excelled onec again with producing a seemingly upbeat tune, but listen closely and you’ll see that it goes much deeper than that with its clever story telling of all too relatable issues.

Frontman Jamie Boyle has said of the track, ““Breakdown in My Bedroom” was written as a reflection of my ongoing struggle to maintain mental stability when navigating through various situations. It’s about that internal battle—the moments when anxiety takes over, and the idea of staying in my bedroom, locked away from the world, seems like a safer and more comfortable option than facing social interactions or confronting difficult situations.”
