Unleashing her latest single ‘Paris’, emerging singer-songwriter Olivia Cox enters a new era of alt-pop pushing musical boundaries.

Cox used layered vocals and adlibs to create a cinematic, diary-like mood, drawing inspiration from Camila Cabello’s C, XOXO Magic City Edition and Addison Rae’s ‘Diet Pepsi’. She shares, “I wanted something fun and immersive…Like stepping into another world for two minutes—a lover girl journey filled with vivid imagery and a crush’s exhilarating magic.”

The song was written with a feeling of creative freedom and was not originally meant for release. She calls the song ‘a lover girl journey’. Olivia Cox wrote the song, while Aaron Brennan and Daniel Seacroft produced it.

She shares, “It wasn’t until the guys told me that it was too good not to release as a single that I even considered it. I’m so glad they did because it’s such a new sound from me, and I truly believe my fans will love it. It’s definitely my favorite song I’ve written so far.”

Cox keeps developing as an artist with ‘Paris’, solidifying her status as a singer and composer while building on the success of her 2024 releases. The song reflects the confidence with which she tackles her craft by fusing her alt-pop roots with radio-friendly enthusiasm.

Although Olivia Cox has been carving out a niche for herself in the mainstream music industry, ‘Paris’ is a glaring illustration of her developing creative abilities. The song’s upbeat and imaginative approach shows that she will only become more well-known over the year.
