Mighty Hoopla 2025

London’s most gay weekend is back and promises to be bigger than ever. Mighty Hoopla returns to Brockwell Park on May 31st and June 1st, bringing a rainbow- coloured burst of music, dancing, drag, and queer celebration. Recognised as London’s largest LGBTQ+ event, this celebration of gay culture provides an inclusive environment that draws people from all walks of life. Ciara and Kesha headline the program, which includes pop icons JoJo, JADE, and Loreen, making Hoopla 2025 an unforgettable summer event.

Saturday

Saturday’s atmosphere will be off the charts, with 2000s legend Ciara performing a headline concert packed with high-octane dance, hits, and boss-level enthusiasm. Expect a full-fledged dance celebration as she performs timeless hits like “1, 2 Step”, “Goodies”, and “Level Up”. Joining her is JoJo, the vocal dynamo behind early 2000s anthems like “Leave (Get Out)” and “Too Little Too Late,” who will undoubtedly bring the nostalgia to Hoopla.

Additionally, Jade Thirlwall, who rose to fame as part of Little Mix, will make her solo debut as “JADE” at the festival, showcasing her glitz, vocal talent, and the status of a true pop star. Next, we have even more girl group stars added to the mix, with Sugababes‘ star Mutya Buena and the Saturdays’ Una Healey doing solo sets that are sure to gather some of the biggest crowds of the festival. Then we have the artist I’m most excited for… Omar Rudberg — one of my most streamed artists ever — will be hitting the Hoopla stage for the first time, and honestly, that alone is worth the ticket. Whether you discovered him through Young Royals or you’ve been on board for his solo music era, you already know the vibes: silky vocals, bilingual bangers, and a stage presence that radiates star quality.

Sunday

Sunday at Mighty Hoopla is poised to be an extraordinary pop extravaganza, with the dazzling glitter-soaked icon Kesha taking to the Mighty Hoopla stage. Get ready for an explosion of glitter cannons, infectious party anthems, and a setlist jam- packed with iconic tracks that defined generations, including hits like “TiK ToK,“We R Who We R,” and “Cannibal.” Loreen, the Eurovision queen, will be joining her. With her powerful voice and compelling demeanour, this diva is sure to offer a mesmerising performance that will have everyone in the park mesmerised.

Erika Jayne will also hit the stage, embracing her full glam and dance-pop diva style to ensure that Sunday’s fabulousness never ends. Pixie Lott and Queen Priyanka are set to deliver pop nostalgia with a theatrical twist. The two artists, famed for their spectacular performances, present a night filled with sequins, sass, and outstanding vocals. But let’s talk about the upcoming pop culture storm featuring Kate Nash and The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. This blend of indie-pop cheekiness and classical grandeur promises to be one of Sunday’s biggest surprises. Also, The Vengaboys‘ return to Mighty Hoopla will undoubtedly result in massive singalongs and dance breakdowns across the crowd – because, let’s face it, a pop festival isn’t complete without “Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom!!

The real icing on the cake? The festival debut of Tayce. That’s right — the glamazon from RuPaul’s Drag Race UK will slay her way through a high-energy set that’ll serve looks, lewks, and legendary lip-syncs. Between that and club-electronic tastemakers like Jayda G and Girls Don’t Sync, Sunday is clearly the day for both pop purists set for a night on the dancefloor.

Here are some of my favourite songs I recommend from artists playing this year!
IT GIRL – JADE
Omar Rudberg – Sabotage
KESHA – JOYRIDE
Erika Jayne – XXPEN$IVE
Allie X – Devil I Know
Samantha Mumba – Gotta Tell You
Kate Nash – Foundations
G FLIP – The Worst Person Alive
Mutya Buena – Real Girl
Pixie Lott – All About Tonight
