THE YOUNG AND PROMISING MANCUNIAN WHO’S SUPPORTED THE LIKES OF MILES KANE & LOUIS DUNFORD.

9 o’clock on the dot the band enter, a solid reception from the crowd. This is a sold out show and I was expecting a rather young crowd tonight but instead it was a real mix, showing signs his music is reaching a vast crowd. Straight from the start of the set you can hear the band are a solid all rounder, great vocals catchy hooks and some soft sentiments.
Love And Let Go.. what a great song to start with.
By the second song the crowd are following suit with the vocals, (just to mention this was completely off cuff and not demanded by the promising artist).

As we’re getting through Alex’s set he plays the song “A night to waste” it’s quite clear Alex is a dreamer and we can’t blame him for it…
As Alex introduces himself and his band, he mentions he’s just turned 18 And with the songwriting ability we’re witnessing you wouldn’t expect it.
He tells us with a grin on his face that he’s been getting electrocuted by the mic and guitar since the soundcheck, he plays it down lightly! He’s definitely a crowd pleaser and offers the crowd free bucket hats. He comes across relatable and mentions about his upbringing which consisted of travelling with his family and growing up in India.

As we’re getting to the latter part of the set an unreleased song is introduced called ‘Clouded Thinking’. We’re getting a heavier sound further along into the set, a more distorted version of Alex but still there’s a softness to the song as he sings “also the streets won’t drag me down”
As a conclusion.. there’s an innocence in his vocals, which for me keeps the whole show going. His direction and his competent band that backs him definitely have the ability to do whatever they want. A real charisma and rawness, a unique artist with a promising future.
