Tres Kings are a Kent-based indie rock band fronted by Wez King on vocals and guitar and brothers Rhu and Lacs ‘Swedish’ Fuller on drums and bass respectively.

Since releasing singles Wake Up the People and Feel It Again in 2018/19, the band decided to take a break to pursue solo projects where they enjoyed individual successes.

However, Tres Kings have made a rip snorting return with their first single of 2025, SCUBA DIVER, and again with their latest single ANTENNA, released earlier this month. To put the impact of Tres Kings’ return into perspective, Abbie McCarthy of BBC Introducing said before lining up ANTENNA, “This next track should come with a warning really, it’s absolutely massive.”

Put simply, ANTENNA is a bottle of liquid swagger. Drink it in and you’re likely to be swept up into a montage of pints, mates, gigs and a pinch of trouble for good measure!

ANTENNA begins with fuzzy fast paced chords that instantly bridge the gap between indie rock and garage rock- picture a Venn diagram of The Libertines on one side and The Hives on another with Tres Kings in the middle.

Wez King’s lyrics are a constant thread of optimism, ‘We bring the sunshine, dry the rain, bring the love
people came.’ Then the chorus kicks in, dripping with noughties nostalgia, ‘Oh yeaaahh tell us what you want. Oh yeaaahh tell us what you need.’

ANTENNA’s run time is just shy of two minutes and flies by. However, the listener is afforded a brief moment to catch their breath before the band launch back in for the final chorus, where the drums feel snappier and the duo on the guitars dig in one final time. Listening to it again now, it’s as if each member of the band is soaking up every note together.
