I first discovered Chase Atlantic during their Part Three era in 2017, and I was immediately drawn in by their unique blend of alt-pop, R&B, and rock. They quickly became one of my favourite bands. I had the chance to see them perform two sold-outnights at the O2 Academy in 2023. Fast forward to 2025, and I found myself among thousands of fans at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro, excited to see them play at one of Scotland’s most renowned venues as part of their Lost in Heaven Tour and their biggest show in Scotland.

Fans lined up for hours before doors, eager to see their favs up close. One thing to know about Chase Atlantic is that they’re always going to bring the energy. Their shows are a mix of stunning pyrotechnics, captivating visuals, and an incredible stage presence that keeps the crowd engaged at every single moment. Whether through their elaborate lighting effects or the high-energy performances, they truly know how to make their shows worth the money, and it is easily one of the best shows I have ever attended.

XAVIER MAYNE

Fellow Aussie artist Xavier Mayne opened the show. He previously opened for Chase Atlantic back in 2023, and they loved him that much, so he’s back again! It’s safe to say the crowd certainly loves him, too. From the very first track, his stage presence was magnetic. He truly had the crowd in the palm of his hand, instructing them to bounce, and they did exactly that. His stage presence was electric, and he bounced from platform to platform and ran along the catwalk .His live vocals were super strong, and his signature distortion and autotune were on full display, fitting the Chase Atlantic style perfectly. His charisma and stage presence shone through. The crowd welcomed him with open arms, and I heard a lot of people say, “That was insane,” when returning to the pit for the headline set.

CHASE ATLANTIC

The moment everyone had been waiting for finally arrived. As the haunting intro to “DIE FOR ME” echoed through the Hydro, Chase Atlantic burst onto the stage with a deafening roar of cheers. The sound, lights, and visuals came together in a spectacular fusion. From the very first beat, they had Glasgow in their hands. As the final echoes of that first song faded, Mitchel Cave stepped forward and looked out over the sea of screaming fans. Grinning, he shouted,“Glasgow, Are you ready for the best night of your fucking lives?”And then came arguably their best song,”SLOW DOWN.”The energy in the venue reached a new peak, with the crowd screaming and bouncing to every lyric. It was truly an unforgettable experience!

This is also my favourite song from the band, so hearing it live from the photo pit was truly unforgettable. Wow, what a performance. I had never seen a crowd so dedicated in ages; everyone in that venue screamed every word back to them. They powered through a massive setlist, including “Consume,”“RICOCHET,” and “The Walls,” each one ramping up the tension.

“WHAT U CALL THAT” and“FAVELA” sent the crowd into a frenzy, while Clinton Cave’s sax solo during “HEAVEN AND BACK” earned one of the loudest cheers of the night. The show just kept getting better. There wasn’t a single moment when the band wasn’t in full performance mode. Visually, the show was breathtaking. Every song had its own distinct aesthetic, from smoky, blood-red strobes to glitchy LED animations and cinematic lighting cues. Pyrotechnics erupted in time with drops, and laser beams cut through the fog. Jets off lame danced across the stage during “OH MAMI” and “DEMON TIME,” perfectly complementing the music’s alluring wildness. It was a sensory overload but in the bestway.

Then chants erupted from every seat in the venue: “Meddle About! Meddle About!” Mitchel looked frustrated, as he and the band do not enjoy performing this song despite being a fan favourite. But having previously told the crowd they were the best to date, he knew what he had to do. He had to give them what they were asking for, and he did exactly that. Nobody expected it, but wow. What a moment! The crowd screamed every word back to him, making it worth the hassle. They closed the main set with a thunderous “Swim,” complete with massive flames and laser walls, before returning for a one-track encore: “Friends.”

What stoodout the most was how the band made the night feel personal, as if each song was a conversation with the audience. Whether it was Mitchel’s shout-out to the crowd, the wild yet beautiful fireworks, or Xavier Mayne’s incredible energy, it was evident that this was more than simply a show—it was an experience. Glasgow was undeniably their best crowd yet, and if things continue as they are, Chase Atlantic will soon be performing in even larger venues. If you ever have the opportunity to see them live, do not hesitate. It’s a show you’ll remember for a while. They are truly one of the best bands I have ever seen live, and every show just keeps getting better. They somehow top themselves year after year; it’s beyond insane.
