Forest Live, the renowned day festival, comes back to Frodsham again this year with some exciting high-profile headliners, and it stretches over dates from Friday, 13th of June, to the 21st of June. The festival is held within Delamere Forest, which is said to attract over 750,000 visitors a year. As well as this, it’s in easy reach from both city centres of Manchester and Liverpool! Its natural amphitheatre sets the stage nicely with all of the natural aspects around it. Buying a ticket for any of the locations involved within Forest Live helps to protect and grow the forests within the UK. From last year’s acts, including the likes of Nile Rodgers & CHIC and Sting, their performances included high-energy acts that certainly resonated with the audience, and has set some high but well-achievable expectations for this year! Tickets are priced from £86.25 for Snow Patrol on the 13th of June and £76.20 for Gary Barlow, who headlines on the 14th of June on the Saturday!
Snow Patrol opens the festival within Delamere, in which they are seen to have an amazing and electrifying stage presence, especially from their headline act at YNOT Festival last year. Their hit songs, such as ‘Chasing Cars’, ‘Open Your Eyes’, and ‘Just Say Yes’, are massive hits when they are performing live to crowds as well as hidden gems such as ‘Wow’ from their 2004 album ‘Final Straw.’ As well as this, they released a brand new album in September last year, which has been well received with their audience. Their special guest of the night is the 31-year-old singer-songwriter, Freya Ridings, whose voice has been described as angelic and is not one to miss at all! With her hit song, which rose her to stardom, ‘Lost Without You’, which came out six years ago, it will still be a song the whole crowd can sing to.
The talented songwriter and vocalist Gary Barlow is set to headline day two of the anticipated day festival; as a member of Take That, he is sure to be a crowd-pleaser, as they went on ‘This Life On Tour’ tour last year, giving their audience a taste of his stage presence for his current ’Songbook’ tour. His solo performances are not one to miss, especially with his upcoming tour having such limited availability; be sure to catch him at Forest Live! Gary Barlow’s special guest of the night will be the multi-talented Beverley Knight; the renowned singer, songwriter, actress, and radio personality. Beverley Knight focuses on the R&B and Soul genres, which includes the hit songs; ‘Gold’ and ‘Shoulda Woulda Coulda’. She gained fame in the 1990s as she was recognised as one of Britain’s greatest soul singers, which is evident within every single one of her songs.
These acts are definitely not to miss, particularly given the outstanding venue located within an area of natural beauty (Delamere Forest). They are also highly accessible, including a BSL interpreter for all of the Forest Live events. Tickets are now on sale on both the Forestry England website and Ticketmaster!
