Red Rum Club Headline at Aintree Racecourse!

On Friday 16th May 2025, Aintree Racecourse is set to welcome one of Liverpool’s finest, Red Rum Club, at the coincidentally named Red Rum Garden in what is set to be their biggest hometown show yet.

Aintree Racecourse has seen the likes of Michael Jackson, Tom Jones, Kaiser Chiefs, and Madness perform in the past, so to say that this is a massive deal is an understatement. Not to mention its extremely fitting given the coinciding names!

2024 marked the year where Red Rum Club truly made their mark. The news comes after the release of Red Rum Club’s fourth album, “Western Approaches” which on release entered the top 10 of the UK album charts, their highest charting position to date. Not long after that, they headlined the M&S Arena in celebration and spent the summer performing at some of the UK’s biggest festivals and joined one of the hottest bands at the moment, Blossoms, on their tour during the latter months of 2024. This year, following what promises to be their biggest headline show to date, the sextet are due to perform at Glastonbury, Tramlines, Y Not? Festival, Reading&Leeds Festival and are set to accompany fellow scousers and The jockey Club Live alumni The Wombats on their tour later this year. Safe to say that they’re in for a busy summer…

Red Rum Club said of the huge honour,

“To say we’re excited to play Aintree Racecourse is an understatement. Outdoor summer shows are our favourites, and where better to play than in the Red Rum Garden? We’ve all been to the races at Aintree over the years and it’s a fantastic day out — we can’t wait to see you there!”

The Jockey Club Live are no strangers to spectacular events across the UK, combining high energy races and electric concerts in an informal open-air setting. Racecourses such as Haydock, New Market, Aintree and Sandown Park have welcomed the likes of Busted, Rick Astley, Bryan Adams, Kylie Minogue and Tears for Fears in the past. Not only is there incredible live music, the races offer a variety of cuisine for all to enjoy, from street food to the racecourses’ very own restaurants.
