The song is 3 minutes 40 seconds bursting with the angst and boredom of youth, and is a reflection and self critique of missed opportunities and wasted time while staring at a mobile phone screen, scrolling.

Radio DJ’s who have played the promo of this song, made comparisons with fellow Boltonian’s Buzzcocks, and mentioned that frontman Luke has a snarly vocal style with similarities to Johnny Rotten or a youthful Liam Gallagher.  While The Radio Addicts have the live energy of early Manic Street Preachers, juxtaposed with a desire to entertain during live shows seen in bands in like The Lottery Winners, with the showmanship of Robbie Williams.

As a soft fun fact, 2 x No 1 album indie heroes The Lottery Winners have not only been photographed wearing The Radio Addicts merch, but they invited Luke (singer & rhythm guitarist) up on stage with them to play their hit single “UFO” at their hometown headline show in Leigh in March 2025.

While The Radio Addicts and Kendal Calling main stage young rockers Revivalry were described as “The next generation of music talent”when photographed together after a show in December 2024.

This song has gained a little traction in advance of its release, having been played on numerous local and regional and internet radio stations in the North West of England, is being played at half time at every Bolton Wanderers home match between know and the end of the season and has even been put on rotation at an American radio station. The station liked it so much they played it back to back on air, after its first play, the song finished, then was played straight away again! They have been interviewed on air and played live in various radio stations and would always love to chat, be interviewed and play live.

This is the debut song, and is the first taste of what is to come from their debut vinyl EP “MMXXV” which will be available in November 2025.
