Manchester’s brightest new alt rock band release their best body of work yet as they build up to a headline show at the city’s New Century Hall.
With 3 years of relentless touring under their belt & a string of digital releases, Manchester alt rock band Rosellas come with their new EP Every Beautiful Night – a 5-track body of work that showcases their innate talent for personable lyric writing, hook laden songs & beautifully layered guitar arrangements. It’s released on Glasgow based record label First Run Records who the band signed to earlier in what’s turning out to be a breakthrough year for the band.

With splashes of shoegaze & psych rock flavours throughout, the EP’s opening track Surrounded By the Light, sets the tone with its uplifting chorus, strident guitar riffs & self-assured lyric about being saved by someone, almost like a guide. Then comes Happy Again – a dark tale about dysfunctional behaviour in relationships that questions what it is to be happy. Next up is latest single Get Over Yourself, about people who take themselves too seriously & as a result can never be fully happy. Then there’s Eyes Of the World, written during lockdown – it has an anthemic chorus about being stuck in one place & wishing to be somewhere else. This is followed by the EP’s closing number (I’m In Love With A) Songbird – a country-esque guitar riff & shimmering guitars build the atmospherics, over which a lyric about loving someone who lives in their own little world unfolds.
Vocalist Drew Selby says of the release “we write lyrics that fixate on the desire to wade through the daily monotony of working life, while focusing your mind on key elements that drive success, ambition, passion & determination. The EP showcases a new direction for the band & has resulted in the songs, lyrics & melodies being far more intentional, serving a specific purpose without overcrowding the quality”.
Growing up individually in Manchester, Rosellas are Drew Selby (vocals / guitar), Euan Mail (guitar), Ollie Appleby (bass) & Mark Zanker (drums). A chance meeting between Drew & Euan on the train back from a Blossoms gig was the catalyst that kick-started the band. Inspired musically by The War On Drugs, Sam Fender & The La’s, lyrically by Ian Brown, Morrissey & Noel Gallager to name a few, Rosellas have gone on to headline This Feeling’s Isle of Wight & Truck Fest stages, play a sold out show at Manchester’s Academy 2, & enjoy radio support from BBC Introducing, BBC 6Music’s Chris Hawkins, Radio X’s John Kennedy & many more.

And now… with a performance for the Official Oasis Fan Club happening at The Grace, London on the EP’s release date (1st Aug) plus an upcoming headline show at Manchester’s New Century Hall on 11th Nov, 2025 is turning out to be a phenomenal year for Rosellas!
