My Chemical Romance this week released their most awaited announcement of the year- a full tour in celebration of their 20th anniversary of the album, The Black Parade.
After a very successful North American tour this year and selling out 2 shows at London’s iconic Wembley Stadium within minutes, My Chemical Romance have stepped up to fan demand and have announced even more UK and Europe dates to include London dates plus further dates in Liverpool, Glasgow, Spain, Italy and America.
Tickets for all new dates go on sale this Friday, September 26, at 12pm local time here.
As this is tour is to celebrate and honour the 20th anniversary of ‘The Black Parade’ fans can expect to hear this album played out in full. So far on the tour, each show has started off with The Black Parade being played with all cast members dressed in their iconic uniforms.
These custom uniforms are as true as they can be to the exact ones worn during the original era of The Black Parade back in 2006. The threatrics of this show make it more than just another gig, but more so a stage show with all the pomp and granduer to reflect that.
It is likely following previous gigs that this will be a show of two halves, with the second half being peformed by the band in thier “skivvy” clothes allowing them to be free from any restraints and pre-concieved ideas. The stage has typically been located within the throng of the audience allowing for a more personal and upclose experience and the set list so far has varied greatly changing from show to show, but is likely to tracks from such albums as Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge and Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys.
