’m excited about this one because I’ve been keeping an eye on Dorsten for a long time. Sophie’s track “Tomorrow” still makes me emotional and is one of my favourite discoveries of the last few years.

This track starts off with acoustic guitar, picked over a chugged rhythm, it’s triplets and underneath you can hear toms and a bass.

Sophie’s voice comes in strong as ever, and she just builds and builds, she’s got a soulful fire in her voice that’s always been there, the middle 8 at 0:31 gets the engine going but them she hits the chorus with full power, this is all padded out with pian percussion and distorted effects.

The second verse adds a kettle drum and reversed sound effects, it’s like the whole song’s flying around you.

Alex’s guitar work and musicianship is killing all the way through and I’m left screaming for a guitar solo but then….

It stops dead.

WHHHHHHHHHHY????

That’s just teasing.

Dorsten are from Arizona and are currently making waves performance and release wise. This tune has made me fall in love with their music all over again and I can’t wait to see what else they unleash.
