“Albion are a band that bask in escaping the public affairs that surround them, inviting their revellers to bask in said escapism or marinate in the melancholy.”

Camden based indie rockers Albion return with their new single ‘Magnifique’, streaming on all platforms 30/10/2025.
Recorded at the Albion Rooms in Margate, the home of The Libertines, the London based six-piece band have been putting in the work behind the scenes, releasing their first music for around two years.
Listeners can expect eloquent poetry, bone-rattling bass and relentless percussion. Let’s also not forget a scorching guitar solo built on fiery fretwork.

The exciting band consists of Ben Traini (Vocals), Jake Wilson (Guitar and vocals), Luke “Bids” Box (Guitar and vocals), Sophie Bishop (Keyboard and vocals), Hunter Jones (Bass) and Jack Collins (Drums).
The track opens with crashing drums, swiftly accompanied by a bluesy bassline. As the track builds it is carried by a guitar riff steeped in classic rock nostalgia.
Traini’s vocals take precedent as he bellows “Alas, look back at all the damage done. Look again, look again. Where’ve all our chances gone”. Albion are a band that bask in escaping the public affairs that surround them, inviting their revellers to bask in said escapism or marinate in the melancholy.
A real touching moment occurs in the bridge, as the song builds towards the chorus, with the lyrics “Help me see my dreams of magnifique”. Personally, I feel this invites the listener to picture their perfect surroundings, perhaps even asking them to visit their dream idea of Albion.

Discussing the new single, Ben Traini said “It’s a nostalgic, celebratory look back at the band’s formative years in Camden Town. From the sights and sounds, and light and rounds of Chalk Farm, to the pubs, bars and parks of Primrose Hill.”
He continues “Magnifique is a blend of memory and revelry, and meaning and madness, all thrown together into a mash tun and kicked down the bustling high street, along with the cigarette ends and cans of beer, set atop to a thumping, rhythmic sound.

Along with the single release, Albion will also be launching a music video. This will showcase the band playing the song live, with a completely white backdrop. Think The Jam – Going Underground meets gothic poetry.
This song is an incredible addition to Albion’s works. A genre-blurring, foot-stomping nostalgic rock’n’roll anthem. It matches the energy of their live shows, but this doesn’t take away from the bittersweet, reflective poetry found in their lyricism.

Magnifique is just the start of a new era for the band, with further exciting announcements to come, including a debut album. We’ll leave it there for now.
