“The single explores the chaos and energy of modern life, encasing this with a lyrically romantic essence.”

This week, singer/songwriter Sammy Vincent will be setting things off with a bang with his new release, β€˜Tell β€˜Em How the Life Leads’.

Releasing on Bonfire night, 05/11/2025, this punk anthem perfectly captures the high energy and attitude he is known for.

Vincent, hailing from Kent, recorded this track at The Albion Rooms, Margate, home of The Libertines, with producer and sound technician Jason Stafford.

The single explores the chaos and energy of modern life, encasing this with a lyrically romantic essence.
An example of this is in the chorus β€œThe life leads, love bleeds. Tell β€˜em how you saved me”.

This gritty and punchy anthem is laden with fast guitars, angry drums and a spoken word lyrical style.

Talking about the new track, Sammy Vincent said β€œI wrote it after a run of shows on our summer tour where I felt the connection between frustration and freedom that punk and my music thrives on. I definitely have gone through the turnstiles myself personally so the reflections of that is in the song.”

This seems to be a turning point in his musical career to date, perhaps driving him into a new direction. This seems rawer and more rebellious than some of his previous work, but there’s still elements of emotional honesty dashed all over the lyrical content.

This will fill the boots of fans of acts such as IDLES, Viagra Boys and even Rage Against the Machine.

Vincent will be playing his next gig at the Good Mixer in Camden on Thursday 6th November. This will be part of Mr Steve’s first ever β€˜A Good Time Rock’N’Roll Show’ alongside Tres Kings and Arid Wave.
