JLS returned to Aberdeen’s P&J Live on Friday 7 November for ‘The Club Is Alive: 2025 Hits Tour‘, drawing a large, enthusiastic crowd to the arena. The group, now well into their second chapter as a reunited act, presented a show that balanced nostalgia with a polished modern production.
The evening opened with a set from Example, who delivered an energetic mix of his best known tracks alongside newer material. His set served as a confident warm up and helped establish the upbeat mood that continued throughout the night.
JLS entered the stage to loud cheers and began their hit and title of the tour, ‘The Club Is Alive’. The crowd screamed as soon as the opening notes were heard and sang along to every word. While this song is a nostalgic throwback, the staging and lighting design felt clean and modern with coordinated choreography and a series of projected visuals that shifted with each song.

Vocally, the four members shared lead responsibilities throughout the set. Harmonies were delivered with clarity and the group maintained a steady connection with the audience through gestures and brief introductions to several songs. Tracks such as ‘Beat Again’ and ‘Everybody in Love’ prompted the strongest response, with many in the audience singing along from the opening notes, while mid set DJ sets from Marvin and Ashton had the whole crowd moving.
Later in the set, JLS introduced a surprise cover of the throwback hit ‘Umbrella’ by Rihanna. The choice drew an excited reaction from the audience, many of whom recognised it instantly. The group delivered a smooth and confident version that blended well with the rest of the set. The crowd joined in throughout, adding to the atmosphere of familiarity and enjoyment.
By the final song, the atmosphere in P&J Live was at an all time high. JLS delivered a confident performance that appealed both to long term fans and to those seeing the group live for the first time. The Club Is Alive: 2025 Hits Tour offered a reminder of the group’s place in British pop and demonstrated that their appeal continues to resonate on the live stage.
