It was a Happy Valentine’s Day indeed as the heavy metal band Fozzy took to the SWG3 TV Studio stage in Glasgow!

Fozzy (previously Fozzy Osbourne) formed in the late 90’s in Atlanta, Georgia by Rich Ward as a cover band made up of any musicians he could find at the time. That is, until he met the charismatic, famous WWE (formerly WWF in the 90’s) wrestler Chris Jericho and invited him to perform with the band and the rest is history!

27 years later, Fozzy is still having a blast touring all over the world with members PJ Farley, Grant Brooks and Billy Grey whilst uniting heavy metal fans and wrestling fans for a night of singing, chanting, mayhem and more!

This was my first time witnessing Fozzy performance and boy did I have fun! They took to the Glasgow stage and kicked off the show with their most recent release “Fall in Line” followed by “One Crazed Anarchist” which is back on the setlist and “Lights Go Out” .

Already I could tell that I was in for something special.

I was in absolute awe of watching guitarist Rich Ward, who I had the pleasure of interviewing just before Fozzy appeared in Glasgow (full interview linked below) and he was a wee ball of energy bouncing around the stage whilst playing some incredible guitar riffs.

Chris Jericho is quite obviously a wonderful man of many talents; one of the GOAT’s in wrestling, phenomenal heavy metal singer… but also a man of many fabulous sparkling jackets. His knack for commanding and entertaining a crowd. whether in a wrestling ring, a cruise ship or on stage in Scotland is impressive to watch.

Ok I will admit that I may have been a wee bit starstruck whilst capturing my photographs of Y2J in the photo pit.

I know I’m slightly biased but I do believe Scottish crowds are the best in the world.

Entertaining Fozzy with chants “Here We F*cking Go” , “No Scotland, No Party” , “Three Blind Mice” and “F*ck the Bingo” at one point! We have such a creative way with words!

As a wrestling fan myself, I found out about Fozzy through Chris Jericho as one of their most famous hits, “Judas” became his new theme song at AEW. As you can imagine, the crowd went absolutely mental as they performed it as one of their final songs of the evening!

After a night of banger after banger, Fozzy officially ended their set with their tribute to the late an great Ozzy Osbourne, with their cover of Crazy Train!

If you have never had the pleasure of attending a Fozzy gig, I would definitely keep an eye out for their next UK tour. Honestly, It’s the most fun I’ve had at a gig in ages!
