DEAD RAT SOCIETY are a London-based bombastic explosion of Punk, Electro, Hip Hop and Grunge Rock. They are a genre-bending conceptual rollercoaster, fusing the no-nonsense lyricism of punk, the hard hitting dance beats of Electronic Music and the raucous noise of fuzz rock.

The band is made up of Ed Harris on Vocals and Guitar, Ben Potter as DJ, Producer, Connor Firmston on Bass and Will Pinhey on Drums.

Since thier first releases in 2024, the band have quickly cemented themselves as an exciting up and coming band on the scene with their explosive live shows in and around London, repeated radio plays and praise from the likes of John Kennedy and ASBO magazine and they have proved the notition further by also recently confirming several festival slots in 2026 including, The Great Escape, Hanwell Hootie and Dot to Dot.

The latest single release from Dead Rat Society ‘Open Your Mind‘ is filled with bouncy laid back beats, expansive brass notes and punchy vocals. Deep rooted in hip hop nostalgia sampling an old American anti-drug advert, the track explores the of the pros and cons, and societal taboos of losing your mind whether self induced or from a general life overload in a crazy world.

Mixing together genres and experimenting with sounds think Beastie Boys meets The White Stripes or The Progidy meets The Streets. Its social commentary with a soul set to a funky and direct beat made to make you stop, listen and take note!
