Following the long-awaited release of their debut album What Took You So Long? in October 2025, London’s iC1s return with their brand new single ‘Outta Reach’, released Friday 27th March 2026 via Be Lucky with distribution from Universal Music.

If the album marked the closing of a long and turbulent chapter, Outta Reach is the sound of a band moving forward with renewed momentum. Urgent, melodic and unmistakably British, the track captures the restless energy that has defined iC1s since their earliest days- a mix of punchy rock’n’roll swagger, soaring choruses and the kind of widescreen ambition that first put the band on the radar over a decade ago.

Formed in 2010, iC1s – Daniel Coburn (vocals), Jesse James (guitar), John Campbell (guitar), Jacob Osman (bass) and Andy Faulkner (drums) – quickly became one of the most talked-about live bands of the early 2010s. After early singles gained support from BBC 6 Music and tastemakers including Alan McGee, the band performed extensively and built a reputation for electrifying live shows, sharing stages with the likes of DMAs, The View, The Rifles and Reverend & The Makers. But just as the band appeared poised for bigger things, a legal dispute with their former manager saw their debut album shelved and the band split in 2014. But a decade later, the story resumed.

In November 2024 the band reunited for a sold-out show in London. What began as a one-off quickly turned into something more permanent, leading to the eventual release of their long-delayed debut album What Took You So Long? in October 2025 – a record that finally delivered on the promise that had surrounded the band since their earliest days. To mark the occasion, the band performed the album in full at London’s prestigious Dingwalls – to a sell-out crowd of 600.

Now, with Outta Reach, iC1s enter a new phase. “Outta Reach is about that one thing that is always unattainable. No matter how hard you try, you just can’t quite get it. It could be the love that you lost, that job you wanted, that car that you want to drive. Well guess what? You can’t have nice things. It’s all Outta Reach.” Musically, the single continues the band’s knack for combining driving rock energy with anthemic hooks – a sound that feels equally at home in sweat-soaked club venues or blasting across festival fields.

The band will debut ‘Outta Reach’ live for the first time at Manchester’s Deaf Institute on Saturday 2nd May 2026, marking their return to the road as they begin work on their second album in the summer.

If What Took You So Long? was the story of unfinished business, Outta Reach suggests that iC1s are far from done writing their next chapter.
