West Park Wolverhampton 29/30 May 2021

On the 16th October the big news broke that Alan Mcgee the visionary founder of Creation Records and the man behind such greats as Jesus and The Mary Chain, Ride, Primal Scream and Oasis is curating his very own two day music festival; Creation Day.
Tickets for the event went on pre-sale to those who signed up to the mailing list on the 21st October with demand being so great that the VIP tickets on offer were practically a complete sellout within only a matter of hours.
Tickets for the two day festival went on general sale last Friday the 23rd October and demand has once again been high given the current state of affairs in the world, proving that there is a very real want from the public at large to see and hear live music again at its finest.
Given Mcgee’s extraordinary an unrivaled success in the music industry to date we here at GHQ and The Songbird were beyond excited to see what the man who won the NME God like Genius Award had in store for us at his Creation Day Festival.

The Creation Day Festival is being held on the bank holiday weekend of the 29 & 30 May 2021 with two days packed full of some absolutely cracking acts some of which are signed to Alan Mcgee’s Creation Management alongside his up and coming acts on his new label Creation 23.

When we recently caught up with Alan Mcgee and asked him his thoughts on this new venture he said:
“I want to get live shows back badly. I’m really looking forward to this. Any bill that has Echo and The Bunnymen on it has to be good! The 2021 festival will hopefully be the first of many”.
Aside from the music, there will plenty of other fun lined up for festival goers including food, drink and trade stalls and a traditional funfair.
The Creation Day Festival is a combined venture and is brought to you by Alan Mcgee, Creation Management, Toura Toura Festivals Ltd and Wolverhampton Council.
