BURNING
This starts off moody and dark, synth bass and guitar, the vocals come in low register not giving anything away, and it’s artfully done.

The way that Silvi attacks the chorus going full body with her vocals give me joy, and I love it. The song is in 6/8 time slightly loose as is evidenced in the second verse because the kick is used to punctuate certain phrases in that portion of the song.
The production standard is high here, I love the way the vocals are sitting in a nice bit of reverb, it’s highlighting how good Silvi is, and giving the whole track a lift – powerful stuff!
You’ve got a touch of blues, a bit of rock, a bit of soul here, you can’t go wrong!
Born from lockdown 2020, Silvi established herself as a distinctive vocalist and candid songwriter with her debut single “Your Smoke” quickly followed by “That’s Not Love”; both of which immediately caught the attention of BBC Music Introducing as well as the latter appearing on the Scotify playlist.
Never one to consign herself to what is expected, Silvi is a disrupter of genre who embraces experimentation without ever losing her signature sound.
As well as BBC introducing, the powerhouse vocalist has seen success across Amazing Radio, EHFM and InYourEars whilst being championed as a 2022 “One To Watch” by various indie music platforms.
Despite only having her debut live gig in February 2022, Silvi has already performed across a variety of Scottish stages as well as venues in Manchester and in Stockton-On-Tees as part of the “Songs from Northern Britain” next generation showcase hosted by BBC Radio’s Vic Galloway.
On the 21st August 2022, Silvi will return to the King Tuts stage with her band for her debut headliner show as part of the Summer Nights festival showcasing Scotland’s most exciting new acts. A fortnight later she’ll take to the breakthrough stage at Vibrations Festival.
