Fans at McFly’s epic 21st-anniversary headline show at the O2 Arena in London last night were stunned when pop-rock icons Busted made a surprise appearance on stage. The band took the crowd by surprise, announcing that they’ll be going head-to-head with Danny, Dougie, Harry, and Tom on tour next year!
The tour, cleverly dubbed “Busted Vs McFly,” will kick off in 2025 and cover major cities across the UK, including London, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, and more. It promises to be a high-energy spectacle celebrating nearly two decades of anthems, fun, and nostalgia. The tour marks the first time the two bands have shared the same stage in an official capacity since their smash-hit “McBusted” supergroup era.

McBusted first collaborated in 2013, the supergroup enjoyed massive success, selling out arena tours and releasing a self-titled album, creating unforgettable memories for fans. However, McBusted’s roots run deeper than many realise! Busted and McFly have been collaborating since the early 2000s. Tom Fletcher has writing credits on Busted’s album “A Present for Everyone,” while James Bourne contributed to McFly’s first four albums.
Busted, known for their hits like “Year 3000” and “What I Go to School For,” and McFly, famous for their chart-topping singles like “Five Colours in Her Hair” and “Obviously,” are set to go head-to-head in a battle of the bands. Fans can expect an unforgettable setlist featuring the biggest hits from both groups, as well as surprise collaborations and new performances.
In a joint statement, the bands expressed their excitement for the upcoming tour:“We’ve had the most amazing journey together over the years, and the fans have always supported us. This tour is for them, a chance to celebrate all the music we’ve made, have fun, and rock out together like never before!”

Tickets for the unmissable tour go on sale via artist pre-sale from 9 am on 16th October here, and general tickets are on sale on 18th October at 9 am here.
