“A jangly pop anthem coupled with Cat’s distictive vocals. A soulful and playful anthem with an upbeat tempto inviting listeners to join her in the moment, not taking life or yourself too seriously allowing you to set yourself free.”

Today (9th October) hit singer songwriter Cat Burns returns with her new single ‘Is It That Deep?’, a warm and soulful track about letting go, taking a step back and remembering not to take life too seriously.

Built around soulful guitars and horns, a relaxed mid-tempo groove and layered harmonies, ‘Is It That Deep?’ perfectly captures Cat’s intimate vocals and honest songwriting.

The song is about taking a breath and releasing what you can’t change. Cat reflects on the importance of letting things go and loving a little more.

The video for ‘Is It That Deep?’ is directed by Charlie Di Placido (Jungle, Kojey Radical) and can be watched here now.

The track has already become a standout fan moment in Cat’s live shows, as she performed the song on her recent sold-out UK tour.

Cat has solidified her status as one of the UK’s most prominent music talents. She has achieved an incredible 1.5 billion streams and was the biggest-selling British female artist of 2022, fueled by her triple-platinum viral smash single ‘Go’, which maintained a 17-week run in the UK Top 10 and peaked at No.2 on the Official UK Singles Chart. She later earned three BRIT Award nominations and was nominated for the Rising Star Award at the Ivor Novello Awards. Her critically acclaimed debut album, ‘Early Twenties’, debuted at No.7 and went on to be one of the 2024 Mercury Prize Albums of the Year.

Last year Cat won over a whole new set of fans with her breakout run on BBC’s ‘Celebrity Traitors’ and released her second album ‘How To Be Human’, which debuted at No.5 on the Official UK Albums Chart. This Summer Cat won an Attitude Award Pride ICON Award and appeared on the cover of the magazine. Later this month she will head out on her first Australian tour with shows in Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.
