***NEW RELEASE DAY- WEEKEND OFFENDER ***
The Songbird were delighted to receive one of the first copies of The Lightscopes brand new single ‘Weekend Offender’ in our inbox this morning.
The Essex three are on fine form and delight in controlled chaos, interweaving real life and anxieties with undoubtedly, their best offering yet.
‘Weekend Offender’ has officially landed people !!
Following on from their massively accredited first single release ‘In My Head‘ and forever true to their passion, the band ventured back into the studio this month to compile their 2nd single and once again have delivered the goods.
The Lightscopes are an Indie, Britpop, Rock & Roll band from Essex who were formed in 2015 Taking Influence from iconic bands such as Oasis, The Who, Sex Pistols, The Jam, Wolf Alice and The Enemy to name a few.
The daily grind of modern day life can cause untold amounts of stress on us all, we seek for a form of escapism, something to help us unwind and forget about life even just for a short time.
‘This is what we need, take time to be ourselves and be free well it might just be enough’
The Lyrics they put into the music are forms of expression and an accurate delineation of everyday society. They connect to the real world, the real strife of the highs and lows, and, the strain of Modern day life. ‘Weekend Offender’ extends an air of mutual understanding in bona fide lyrics and dynamic and energetic guitar riffs to those who feel the same way – life for the masses, is a designated mundane process of work/sleep repeat.
‘All the times I've fallen deep into the masquerade with a smile upon my face’
How many of us can relate to this? In a heady daze of over indulgence, which could take on the form of many things, we are finally free from the rat race, free to not think, if only for a short time.
‘Weekend Offender’ is an absolute belter of a new track from the Essex Lads and The Songbird are proud to recommend this latest offering as one of our #SongbirdNewSounds
