On the day of the pre-sale release of the Warrington lads new single “AURORA”, we thought we here at The Songbird would give you a little insight into who they are and what they are all about.

From the outset, it’s safe to say that The K’s are a lively bunch of lads full of energy and charisma that’s pretty hard to ignore!

The K’s were initially formed in Earlestown in 2017.

After watching a video of The Jam performing ‘In the City’ live at the Circus, vocalist and rhythm guitarist Jamie Boyle and bassist Dexter Baker were inspired to pick up their own guitars and see what sort of music they could make for themselves.

Soon after, The K’s were born when at an after-party they had all attended, Ryan Breslin noticed vocalist Jaime Boyle and was impressed with his unmistakeable energy and enthusiasm and felt The K’s could be just the band he’d been looking for, for his own head on approach to music and guitar playing.

Fast forward to 2018 which saw the addition of Jordan Holden on drums and The K’s line-up was complete.

The K’s debut single ‘Sarajevo’ was an instant hit on music streaming sites, picking up fans and playlists alike. The single generated over 1.1 million plays on Spotify alone. The release was quickly followed by their first headline show at Manchester’s Deaf Institute which sold out 2 months in advance.

Since then The K’s have released two more singles “Got a Feeling” and “Glass Towns” both of which have proved hugely popular with fans and music moguls alike.

The K’s took part in a music competition in March at the famous Cavern Club in Liverpool to win a place at the InMusic Festival in Croatia. They won the competition and were soon thereafter signed to Alan McGee’s Creation23 record label. The band have been killing it on the live circuit with sell out gigs up and down the country as well as several festival dates in Europe ever since.

The single is not due for physical release until the 25 October, but a special limited edition green vinyl copy of the single can be purchased as from today (23 August)  from Creation Stores on

On the 7September The K’s are hosting their single launch party at Lives Bar in their home town in Warrington. Tickets to this event are practically sold out already with only a handful still remaining online proving just how popular this band and indeed their new single release is.

My advice to you is, if you get a chance to catch The K’s live now do so, because international stardom is most definitely beckoning!
