The Songbird introduces-Boats On The Ocean

Arising from the East Midlands, Boats On The Ocean are a new-born Alternative Pop Rock band formed in the early months of 2018. Gathering a variety of musical concepts, they create tasteful melodies, blissful harmonies, and rhythms forged to make audiences move.

The quartet consists of Frank Statham (Lead singer + Guitar) Cameron Mundie (Lead Guitar + BVs) Harry Fox (Bass Guitar) and Tom Spray (Drums).

The band recently played a Musicians Against Homelessness Event – Chesterfield Rocks but aside from that, have already had an extensive success to their musical career. This includes Radio play from BBC Introducing for their last 4 singles. Live sessions and interviews with BBC East Midlands Dean Jackson and BBC Radio Derby’s Martyn Williams. In addition to this, not only did the band sell out a 200 cap venue, they also opened the Y Not Festival back in 2018 on the main stage in front of 1000’s of people alongside Razorlight, The Manic Street Preachers and Hers as well as supporting The Larkins, The Pale White and Black Waters on their respective tours.

The song “Why can’t you remember” is a favourite of The Songbird and we think that this band are simply amazing live. They certainly know how to entertain a crowd!

Be sure to give them a follow on their social media platforms as well as seeing them perform at The Sunflower Lounge in Birmingham on the on the 22nd November 2019. You will not be disappointed.
