New Single Review

Today (24th June) sees the latest single release from Marquis Drive entitled “Truth Don’t Shock (Zombieland)”.
We were eager to have a little listen to this song considering the past year that Marquis Drive have had, not only seeing them performing up and down the country to hugely appreciative crowds, but further being signed to Alan Mcgee’s Creation23 Record Label the first time he saw them live and with their debut release on C23 “Proud” going straight into the UK Vinyl Charts at No.2 surpassing even such noted greats as David Bowie!

So what of this new track from the Mighty Marquis Drive then? Well in a one word summary it DELIVERS!!
It’s an absolute belter of a tune from the Midlands lads. It starts off BIG with electric, buzzing guitars, takes a grip on you like a dog with a bone and it doesn’t let go. Its fast paced drumming and percussion, set the scene perfectly as a backdrop to the rousing and reminiscent 90’s melodic and harmonious vocals and anthem worthy chorus lines.
With seven band members (Mark, Mal, Matty, Chris, Eddie, Leon and Con) we’re not surprised that this new track packs such a punch. Each member knows their own role within the band and they obviously work together extremely well as the sound they produce is so precise and tight. This is pure class professionalism and how it should be done.

Truth Don’t Shock is available to download and stream on all major digital platforms now and with a planned vinyl release on Deadly Records later on in the year.
