ALL FIRED UP

Indie 4-piece Ded Rabbit released their latest single “All Fired Up” at the end of January. This quirky track is full of funky twangy guitars and an up-tempo drum dance groove.

The band has said “Lyrically we took inspiration from having a shit night out, being skint and pissed off with feeling trapped in a dead-end job and place.”

You can feel that sense of frustration as the song continues. There is an industrial, repetitive beat which perhaps represents the mundane routines of everyday life. The mounting angst builds until mid-track, and then completely by surprise it takes a moment, almost a pause for thought. The momentum starts to build up again as if back on that hamster wheel. The percussion adds to this funky groove and the video is very funny…

Listen to “All Fired Up” and watch the official video here now.

Ded Rabbit originate from Yorkshire, moved to the Scottish Highlands and are now based in Edinburgh. The four brothers are signed to Dirty Fader records, a label founded by Grammy winning producers Robbie Nelson and Mike Horner. Their previous single “Gotta Get Outta This Place” caught the attention of BBC Radio 6 Music with play by Steve Lamacq. Louder Than War also has Ded Rabbit as one of their hot tips for 2021.

So, who are we to disagree with such knowledgeable company? We here at The Songbird are loving Deb Rabbit, be sure to check them out for yourselves.
