Today (Wednesday 28th April 2021) sees the anticipated second release “Losing My Mind” from London based indie quartet Louis and The Shakes ahead of their planned album release later on in the year.

Louis and the Shakes consists of Louis Antoniou on lead vocals, Jamie Lawson on lead guitar,Will Finnerty on Bass and Manny O’Donnell on Drums.

Louis and The Shakes are quite literally shaking up more mainstream music with their not afraid to be different sound of “western psychedelic rock”.

The release of this latest single signifies the start of an exciting year for the band who signed with Absolute Label Services following on from the release of their first single of 2021; ‘How Badly Do You Want It?,’ which was also included in Amazon Musics “Best New Bands,” playlist, as well as being synced numerous times with BT Sport.

“Losing My Mind” was written by Watford born singer-songwriter Louis, and it is an infectious, damn right heavy indie/rock song that seeks to bring a new wave of Indie Rock to us. The track positively races along with rolling, thundering , marching drums and fierce, reverberating guitars both of which are supported by the unique characteristic feel of the vocals which are perfectly set amongst the huge sounds going on. Losing my Mind is a short, sharp driven, passion fuelled song that builds and swells around the captivating hooks and chorus lines. In a word its an absolute Tune!!

Losing My Mind was produced by Michael Smith, who has also produced on tracks for Wolf Alice and Weird Milk, and was mastered by Pete Maher, who has mastered an array of acts such as U2, Jack White, The Killers & Noel Gallagher.

Lead singer Louis said of the new single:

“It was written in lockdown, you can hear the angst and the fury from the band but don’t let the title fool you.Lyrically it’s about chasing the girl and it’s an integral song in the album in my eyes. It’s the first song on the record where the girl gets introduced, and her entrance is like a whirlwind as this song smacks ya in the face with this gnarly riff and sexy lyrics. The song keeps building and rising. There’s shouts, the bass gets heavier, the drums intensify and then this solo section drops in and it’s an explosion of sound! You can’t get away from it, you lose your mind. We got our first show back in July and we’re pumped to play this live. People won’t know what’s hit them when they hear it.”

Losing My Mind is supported by an animated video which the band says shows their ‘Western Psychedelic World,’ that they have created. Watch the official video here now.
