COME AND MEET THE JONES

Brighton based band, Kavanagh have just released their second single, ‘Come and Meet the Jones’’ exploring English life and the societal changes that have happened recently.

The track follows the bands recent release of ‘Citizen 202’ and although ‘Come and Meet the Jones’ is more of a slow burner the song feels like a modern version of 60’s English country tracks.

Come and Meet The Jones’ is injected with The Kinks influence and a slight rock edge which makes a head banging combination and a must listen.

Exploring the stereotypical English middle-class family in the countryside, Kavanagh touch of class difference, microcosms of English Society and the alienation of village life. The track takes no prisoners, delivering an alternative rock epic with the infusion of small-town mentalities.

The Jones’ that are mentioned in the song are meant to be the prime example of a middle class family who live in the countryside.

The influence of 60’s country bands, Kavanagh give this style of music a grunge makeover, adding grit and a dash of alternative rock.

With these two songs being able to reach our ears, Kavanagh are sure to take the music industry by storm soon, with a plan to support Fat White Family in the near future as well as featuring alongside members of the Sex Pistols and New York Dolls in an upcoming movie.

I’d get used to hearing this bands name as they are going to come up more and more on your Spotify playlists, guaranteed.
